This is the Theosophical perspective on the life cycle and the cycle of necessity. April 10th 1:45 for 2pm - This will be a practical workshop on Past Life Regression Not Again! Past Lives and Reincarnation Led by Pamela Giese from the Durham Centre for Theosophical Studies May 15th 2 - 4pm - 'Life Between Life' workshop led by Pamela Giese, exploring the Bardo or Devachan . June 12th 1:45 for 2pm start. Study group session on the work of Mabel Collins, 'Light on the Path' Part one, an overview, led by Jim Blakey. July 17th 1:45 for 2pm start. Light on the Path’ by Mabel Collins, a review of part one and an approach to parts one and two through the great mind and work of W C Leadbeater, presented by Jim Blakey Jim is Secretary of the Durham Centre for Theosophical Studies has has been a lifelong student of Theosophy and holds a BA Honours degree in Psychology/Sociology, a certificate in counselling skills and the Diploma in Theosophy. He gave an overview of Part one of 'Light on the Path' and its aphorisms, the deeply esoteric work that is considered a classic amongst Theosophical literature, last month. August recess Sept 18th 1:45 for 2pm start. We will watch a short film and then share ideas and comments. Facilitated by Pam Giese and Jim Blakey October 16th 1:45 for 2pm start. 'Globes, Rounds and Races' - a talk by Jim Blakey, secretary. Probably one of the most complex topics of the Theosophical teachings. It will include several perspectives, such as; 'As above, so below', Human and planetary evolution, reincarnation, the constitution of man, his principles and those of the planetary chains. November 13th 1:45 for 2pm start. A talk by Pamela Giese on; ‘The Holy Grail and the Quest for the Soul.’ The Holy Grail is synonymous for that object which offers panacea but is always just out of our grasp. This live talk will feature a presentation on some esoteric ideas behind the Holy Grail as well as a guided meditation. December 11th 1:45 for 2pm start A talk presented by Jim Blakey, this talk will look at the Theosophical models of the Constitution of Man and the various principles/bodies that make up the entirety that is man. |
